Fundraising Priority: Business Honors Program

This year, the College of Business Administration has devoted its fundraising to the ambitious and motivated students of the CBA’s prestigious Business Honors Program, which has been presented with a unique opportunity for an international education experience at Tamkang University in Taiwan for a 2-week session of specialized business instruction during the Summer of 2018.

This is a great opportunity with one major problem: many of our students can NOT afford the trip. With your help, we’d love for ALL the business honors students to be able to participate in this valuable educational experience! Each student will be contributing to their own funding; but help is needed or some students will be left behind.

Please consider donating anything you can to this awesome educational opportunity, even small amounts are very helpful. Investing in our students is an investment in Sacramento!

International Educational Opportunity

This two-week session will immerse the students in an international environment and provide them with the opportunity to study business practices in one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Students will bring the knowledge gained from Taiwan back to the Sacramento region and be in a position to contribute to the diverse business practices in our own local growing economy.

Impact on Business Honors Students

International study experiences foster development of personal growth and leadership skills while broadening worldview and cultural understanding. Experience with diversity and competence in cross-cultural communication is imperative in today’s business world. Our Business Honors Program students are some of the highest-achieving and hardest-working students at Sac State and without supplemental funding only 8 of the students indicate they can afford to go on the trip. Please help us make it possible for all our honors students to attend by donating to this cause.

From an Honors Student...

“No one from my family has travelled internationally before, so to be the first, and to have the opportunity to learn about business strategies from an international perspective while actually in an international setting, would be an incredible experience”
