Friends of Jeff created this scholarship, along with his family, to honor the life and memory of Jeff Law, an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Sacramento State in 2014‐2015. As a Hornet, Jeff worked diligently with the football team, men and women’s soccer teams, and men’s golf. Jeff brought an energy to every room he entered. He was liked, admired and respected by the athletes he coached and the coaches he worked with. He coached, taught and lived with a contagious passion and drive. He had a gift of making you feel special and important, and inspiring you to be your best. Jeff strove to be his best by constantly reading and increasing his education and certifications. He was accredited through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Weightlifting in Sports Performance, and Corrective Exercise Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
The Jeffrey D. Law Memorial Scholarship is intended to support upperclassmen and graduate students in the Department of Kinesiology who have demonstrated interest in a career in the Strength and Conditioning field.
