We are on a mission to upgrade our performing arts facilities. This year, I am asking you to join me in naming a seat in the University Theatre.
University Theatre serves hundreds of Sacramento State students, as well as the community and region because it's not just a performance venue. For our campus community, it serves as a classroom, lab space, ceremony space, and lecture hall. For the community at large, it is a site for community youth conferences, trainings, and ceremonial gatherings.
By sponsoring a seat, you are creating a lasting legacy at Sacramento State while providing a better experience for all.
How many seats are available?
The University Theatre seats 420.
Can I choose my seat?
Yes, you may choose your seat. Once you have confirmed payment, a team member will reach out to you to select your seat(s).
How long will my donor plate remain on the seat?
Your donor plate will remain on the seat throughout the lifetime of the chair.
Will the seat I sponsor become my seat for shows?
No. Seating for University Theatre performances are on first-come, first-served basis and your sponsorship does not guarantee that you can sit in your seat when attending a show. We plan to have special donor recognition events where the opportunity will be available to sit in your seat.
Is my gift tax-deductible, and what is the University's tax ID number?
The University Foundation at Sacramento State is a 501(c)(3) organization. Gifts in support of the University’s mission, goals and programs are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult with your tax attorney or financial advisor to determine if your gift is tax-deductible.
