Sacramento State is where futures begin, but the journey from the first class to the commencement stage can be challenging. For many students, these challenges extend beyond the curriculum. The cost of living has rapidly escalated, creating an unprecedented weight for students to carry – but they are not alone.
By making a gift on Giving Tuesday, you become part of the Hornet community coming together in generosity. Your support provides immediate assistance to deserving students, allowing them to focus on what matters most: continuing their educational journeys and transforming their lives.
An unrestricted fund with students-first in mind. Some needs are foreseeable, but others can hit unexpectedly. This fund provides us with the flexibility to respond to students' emerging needs such as homelessness, unforeseen financial burden, mental health crises, and so much more. Gifts to this fund equip our students with the most essential resources required for our students to persist and succeed.
This fund provides for grants to students who encounter financial emergencies that may impact their ability to continue their education. The grants provide a safety net to allow students to get through the emergency and remain enrolled.
This fund provides housing for students faced with housing insecurity, with the intent of finding a sustainable housing situation.
Provides food and basic necessities to Sac State students with financial hardships or food insecurity, at no cost.
Your generosity will create equity – the kind that comes from having basic needs met or critical emergency support. Wherever students plan to go with their degrees, your gift helps get them there.
Help us build the future through generosity and make a gift on Giving Tuesday, December 3.
Sacramento State is more than an education — it's where the future begins.
