When Sacramento State transitioned to virtual learning in the middle of Spring semester due to the public health crisis, the educational landscape for our students changed dramatically.
Nearly overnight, the University Library, a favorite study and gathering place for our students, was forced to close its physical doors. Students and faculty quickly shifted gears, navigating a new world of Zoom lectures and virtual class discussions. Normally filled with students in study pods or browsing the stacks, the Library also faced an unexpected task: how do we immediately support our students in the online learning environment?
Now more than ever before, our students and faculty are relying on our Library services.
During this unprecedented time, we are responding quickly and adapting our services and resources. From expanding access to online journals to digitizing collections, we are making a wealth of materials available to our students, when they need it most.
As we continue with online classes this Fall, our students continue to need access to class and study resources for their continued academic progress. You can help ensure our students have access to the online resources they need to succeed at a time when research and study feels more complicated than ever.
Your donation to the University Library puts academic resources into the hands of our students today, so they can have a brighter future tomorrow.
