Dreamer Resource Center

At the Dreamer Resource Center (DRC), we help make the dream of a college degree a reality for undocumented students and students with mixed immigration-status families at Sacramento State. The DRC helps students overcome unique challenges that create barriers to achieving academic, personal and professional excellence. We also offer a safe space and home-away-from-home where students can be themselves, build community, and foster life-long connections.

En el Centro de Recursos para estudiantes indocumentados (DRC, por sus siglas en inglés), ayudamos a hacer realidad el sueño de obtener un título universitario para estudiantes indocumentados y estudiantes con familias de estatus migratorio mixto en Sacramento State. El DRC ayuda a los estudiantes a superar desafíos únicos que crean barreras para alcanzar la excelencia académica, personal y professional. También ofrecemos un espacio seguro y un hogar fuera de casa donde los estudiantes pueden ser ellos mismos, construir una comunidad, y fomentar conexiones duraderas.

Sacramento State's Dreamer Resource Center by the Rankings:

#1 in NorCal: Leading the region with the most immigration legal consultations and cases. Top 5 in the CSU system with 250+ participants in 2023-24. 

#3 in Dreamer Service Incentive Grant enrollment in CA: The DRC is leading efforts for undocumented students' enrollment in CSAC's Dream Act Service Incentive Grant Program with over 35 recipients in 2023-2024.

Sacramento State is the only CSU that offers a 2-unit seminar course designed for undocumented and mixed-status family students:

• 33 enrolled students in 2023-24
• 100% of students after participating in the seminar feel more knowledgeable about DRC services  
• 99% of students feel welcomed at the DRC  
• 99% of students after meeting with a Dream Leader feel supported at Sacramento State
