From November 14-16, 2024, Sacramento State will host the 6th International Conference on Genocide, examining "Forms of Genocide Across the Globe: Challenges, Responses and Accountability." This timely event will bring together scholars, activists, policymakers and others to explore genocides past and present, with the goal of identifying strategies to end genocidal practices worldwide.

The Conference is hosted by the Sacramento State's Department of Ethnic Studies, the College of Social Science and Interdisciplinary Studies, the College of Arts and Letters, the Department of Women’s Studies, the Department of Anthropology, the History Department, Sacramento State Al Qazzaz Dean's Lecture Series, as well as The National Commission for the Fight against Genocide in Rwanda (CNLG) Dickson College, Sonoma State, Global Majority, and Friends of Rwanda Association.
