Flag Football: Women's Inaugural Season

A new chapter in Hornet sports is beginning. Sacramento State Women's Flag Football Club is preparing for its inaugural Spring 2027 season, bringing an exciting new opportunity for student-athletes to compete, develop their skills, and proudly represent Sacramento State.

The future of women's flag football is taking shape, and Sacramento State students are stepping onto the field at an exciting moment. With the sport recently recognized through the NCAA's Emerging Sports for Women program and preparing for its Olympic debut in 2028, opportunities for competition are expanding nationwide. Sacramento State Women's Flag Football Club is joining that momentum, giving student-athletes the chance to help establish a new tradition for future Hornets.

Building a team from the ground up takes a community of support. From footballs and flags to practice uniforms and training equipment, the club is working to establish the resources needed to prepare for competition. Your contributions help strengthen the club's broader programmatic needs, supporting student-athlete development, training, and competitive opportunities as the program grows.

Be part of the inaugural season and build the future of Hornet flag football! Make a gift and join the community helping this emerging sport grow.

Thank you and stingers up!
