ASI Food Pantry

Our Mission

• The ASI Food Pantry exists to provide food and basic necessities to Sac State students in need at no cost. In addition to helping alleviate hunger within our student community, the ASI Food Pantry aims to decrease the impact that food insecurities have on the academic success of our students.

Last year we made strides because of the generosity of people like you!

• Over 13,000 people fed, which can include students' children and family
• An 80% increase in student users over the prior year
• Moved into the University Union with expanded space
• Now have refrigeration for fresh produce
• Have a full-time coordinator!

There is still more work ahead

• This academic year, there were 1,434 visits in the first month. That's the highest number we've ever seen! Your donation will help us meet this growing demand so that, one day, we can leave student hunger behind us.

• Sac State C.A.R.E.S. is a fund that supports these three basic needs programs. This fund allows us to allocate funding to these programs according to the greatest need.
